为了激发学生学习和积累英文单词的热情，通过在准备单词的过程中，查找单词背后的故事、单词的出处、用法的来源，更好的了解全世界的文化。长江学校国际部于11月12日举办了一年一度的「SPELLING BEE」大赛。

In order to stimulate students' enthusiasm for learning and accumulating English vocabularies, and for the better understanding of the world cultures by looking up the stories behind the words, the sources of the words and the usage in the process of preparing the words.CSIC held the annually 「Spelling Bee」 on 12th November. 

来自长江学校国际部和国内部经过预选的小学生们参加了此次比赛。

Primary students from CSIC and selected students from Changjiang Primary Department participated in the competition together.

在比赛前两个月，小小选手们就开始不断的加强英文单词的记忆与积累。SPELLING BEE比赛为学生们提供了一个展示和交流的平台。

2 months before the competition, young contestants began to constantly strengthen the memory and accumulation of English words, the competition provides a stage for the students to show and communicate.

 比赛开始之前，在台下做准备的小选手眼神还离不开单词表，在做最后的复习。从他们坚定而又紧张的眼神中，可以感受到他们对于比赛的认真态度。

Before the start of the competition, the young contestants were still preparing for the competition seriously for the final review. Their determined and nervous eyes showed their seriousness to the competition.

此次Spelling Bee根据不同的年级，采用不同的形式，设置了不同的比赛规则。

This time, different rules were set in different forms according to different grades.

但无论是哪种形式，比赛场上都不断的高潮迭起，选手们你来我往，赛得难解难分。不断增高的单词拼读的难度，让比赛越来越紧张。

But no matter what kind of form, the competition is extremely intense. The increasing difficulty of spelling words makes the competition more and more intense.

台下的观众被赛场上的紧张情绪所感染，为选手接二连三的对答如流所折服，也为没能得分的错误扼腕叹息。选手们展现出来的词汇量，着实让评委和老师们惊喜连连，热烈的掌声此起彼伏，现场的气氛一次次被推向高潮。

The audience was influenced by the intense of the competition, fluent responses of the contestants and failure of losing scores. The vocabularies showed by the contestants really surprised the judges and teachers again and again. Applause rose and fell, and the atmosphere was lively.

经过激烈的角逐，最终分出了spelling bee比赛的胜负。

After a fierce competition, the Spelling Bee winner was finally selected.

但是孩子们，当你们勇敢的站在舞台上，直面挑战,露出自信笑容的那一刻，你们便早已战胜了曾经的自己，获得了自我的胜利。

But children, when you stand on the stage bravely and face the challenge, you have already overcome your own, and won the victory.
